Outside of academics and work, possesses an exceptional athletic background. Competed for seven years in national junior martial arts (Wushu), earning national-level medals, and represented as a Junior National Women’s Football Team player. Also participated in a beauty pageant and won Little Miss Talent (2014), highlighting confidence, stage presence, and versatility.

Katherine graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2021 and has over 10 years of previous experience as a dental assistant. She enjoys creating a relaxed, comfortable experience for patients and loves helping them feel at ease during their visits.
Originally from the Philippines, she moved to Canada in 2005 and enjoys connecting with people from all backgrounds. Outside of work, she loves cooking, reading and practicing yoga.
GWEN TOLO | Certified Dental Assistant | Level II
I am a Level II Certified Dental Assistant with over six years of experience in the dental field, and I truly enjoy being part of each patient’s dental journey. I assist in a wide range of dental treatments and take pride in providing calm, compassionate, and detail-oriented care. I understand that dental visits can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a relaxed, supportive environment where patients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident.
I am family-oriented and love building genuine connections with patients while working closely with the dental team to ensure a positive experience.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs—a Golden Doodle and a Cock-a-poodle. I love being outdoors, going on hikes, and camping with friends and family. In my free time, you’ll often find me reading or exploring new cafés to relax and recharge.
